About Me

Pit Kroke was born 1940 in Fürstenwalde/Spree, Germany. He studied sculpture under Hans Uhlmann at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. There he also worked on experimental photography and abstract film, as well as working on architectural studies. 1964 he went to Sardinia, where he initially worked as an architect. 1981 he approached the free artistic activity again, which he devoted himself exclusively to since then. Since 1993, he has lived and worked in Berlin and Sardinia. He died 2016 in Berlin.

The Gerisch foundation is celebrating the 25th ann The Gerisch foundation is celebrating the 25th anniversary this week. With that a fresh exhibit of different artist among them Pit Kroke with the Sculpture TIKO in the garden, and numerous newly exposure other artwork on paper and metal in the interior spaces. TIKO 1989, originated in Italy, exhibit in make cities in Europe, landed in New York for many years at 5 Avenue and later at Queen Museum of Modern Art, and now in a permanent location at the Gerisch stiftung Museum Congratulations on the 25 years.
